EMU believes that one of the most effective ways of supporting you when you have a mental health issue is peer support.
We think that talking to other people who are in recovery and have faced the same issues will help you to find your own strategies and strengths.
Our projects are all run by people who have personal experience of mental health issues.
We currently offer Peer Support at Chase Farm hospital, we visit the mental health drop in at Park Avenue Resource Centre, we run self-help groups and support individuals to access better services and advice.
We offer training and volunteer placements to help develop new skills or brush up on your current strengths.
We support and empower mental health service users to take part in meaningful consultation on services.
